SYRIA: Syriac man murdered during home invasion in Daramsuq (Damascus)

DARAMSUQ — A Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) man was murdered during a home invasion in the Syrian capital of Daramsuq (Damascus) on Sunday.

Local sources reported that the group, consisting of three people, broke into the victim’s house after surveilling him for some time, tortured and beat the man and his wife, and stole an amount of money before fleeing.

The sources added that the victim, George, and his wife were taken to the hospital for treatment. However, George succumbed to his injuries.
