Iraqi security forces arrest two ISIS members in Nineveh Plains
BAGHDEDE, Iraq — Iraqi Security Forces continue to pursue the cells of the Islamic State (ISIS) across the country, especially along the Syrian border.
In an operation on Sunday, two ISIS operatives were arrested in the Rabia District of Nineveh Plains after they crossed the Syrian border, according to the Iraqi Security Media Cell.
In a press release, Security Media Cell stated that Military Intelligence detachments of the 15th Division, in cooperation with the 1st Regiment of the 71st Infantry Brigade, managed to arrest the two prominent ISIS members.
“One of them is responsible for the booby-traps in Al-Baaj District and the other is responsible for the storming force and also participated in the crimes committed against the Yezidis,” the press release stated.
