Women’s Coordination Council of North and East Syria Administration holds regular meeting to discuss draft rules of procedure
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The Women’s Coordination Committee of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria held its regular meeting on Wednesday in the presence of the Co-Chairs of all Executive, Public, and Judicial Councils of the DAA.
The purpose of the meeting was to assess the organizational status of women in the DAA and discuss draft rules of procedure for the Women’s Coordination Committee, which was created by the General Council of the DAA on 4 February 2021.
Jehan Khadro, head of the Women’s Authority of the DAA, pointed out that the draft rules of procedure for the Women’s Coordination Committee are almost finished and are being discussed with Women’s Coordination Councils across the DAA. She noted that the Committee was formed to help contribute to the smooth work of the Councils and to ensure the emancipation of women.
Khadro also confirmed that they are preparing for the Women’s Coordination Committee’s semi-annual meeting in the presence of all the Women’s Councils in the DAA and Local Civil Administrations.
