Syriac Union Party delegation discusses national political vision with Democratic Union Party in Zalin (Qamishli) in North and East Syria
ZALIN, Syria — A delegation from the Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Syria headed by SUP Co-Chair Sanharib Barsoum, SUP Council member Noura Hanna, and members of the SUP Executive Body Afram Ishaq and Habib Ardish, visited the Democratic Union Party (PYD) on Wednesday.
The visiting delegation was received by PYD Co-Chair Anwar Muslim and Co-Chair of the PYD Relations Office Khalil Othman.
During the visit, the two parties discussed the latest political developments in the region and Syria in general and the worsening economic situation in the country.
Both parties stressed the importance of reaching a political solution that would end the suffering of the Syrian people and meet the aspirations of all the countries peoples. They also expressed their joint belief in the importance of the project of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria and the need to support and develop it as a model for all of Syria.
The need for a dialogue including all Syrian parties and peoples was also highlighted in their discussion as a necessary step in building a democratic and pluralistic Syria based on coexistence and equality.
