NORTH AND EAST SYRIA: Syriac Union Party and Democratic Union Party discuss bilateral relations in Qabre Hewore
QABRE HEWORE, Syria – Within the framework of active cooperation and coordination between political parties and peoples of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, a delegation from the Democratic Union Party (PYD) visited the Syriac Union Party (SUP) at the SUP office in Qabri Hewore (Al-Kahtaniyah). The visiting PYD delegation was received by SUP co-chair of the branch in Qabre Hewore and local party officials.
Several recent local developments were reviewed, including the recent events that took place in the city of Mabbug (Manbij). The two parties also touched on coexistence that brings together the Syriac (Aramean-Assyrian-Chaldean) and Kurdish people, as well as the mutual relations between them and the importance of developing them.
The marginalization of the Syriac and Kurdish languages was also touched on. Furthermore, they stressed the need to overcome all the difficulties facing cooperation and joint coordination between the parties in the regions of North and East Syria.
