TEV-DEM official Salih Muslim: Peker’s confessions have major repercussions for Turkish government

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — Regarding the public accusations by Turkish mafia leader Sedat Peker of corruption and criminality at the highest levels of the Turkish government, foreign relations official of the Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) and former Co-Chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) Salih Muslim told Hawar News Agency that, “[Peker’s confessions are international and are not limited to the Turkish state only, as they reveal all incidents of killing, drug trafficking and kidnappings at the hands of gangs and intelligence [services].”

“These organizations associated with the Gladio and the Mafia are working to promote drugs in order to harm communities in the cities of Kurdistan, and one of their main objectives is the promotion of drugs in the areas of North and East Syria and undermining the will of society,” he added.

The governing coalition between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s Justice and Development Party (Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi, AKP) and the Nationalist Movement Party (Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi, MHP) will crack because of Peker’s confessions, predicted Muslim.

“These confessions aim to stir the balance within the authorities in Turkey,” he continued. ” The Turkish authority has reached its end and no longer has anything, its economic conditions are very poor, and it has gone bankrupt at the international and diplomatic levels.”
