TEL TAMR, Syria — Local sources reported on Wednesday that one Russian soldier was killed and four others wounded when their vehicle struck a mine in Asadiyah village in the Turkish occupied zone southeast of Rish Ayno (Ras al-Ayn) in North and East Syria.
The wounded were airlifted to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) military hospital in Al-Darbasiyah (Dirbêsiyê) where one soldier succumbed to his wounds.
No public statement has yet been made about the incident.
