Beth Nahrin National Council congratulates Bethnahrain Patriotic Union on 25th anniversary of its founding

BETH NAHRIN — On Thursday, the Beth Nahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB) sent a letter of congratulation to the Bethnahrain Patriotic Union Party in Iraq (Huyodo d-Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA) on the 25th anniversary of its founding.

The MUB letter reads as follows:

“The representative of the MUB philosophy, policy, and organization in Iraq is the HBA, which has become one of the solid bridges between our Syriac people in Beth Nahrin, after it was divided by the controlling authorities.

Its founding broke those deliberately established walls. The HBA showed an honorable resistance by repelling the attacks its enemies since the 90s when the decision to return to the homeland was taken by our movement. That decision converged with the dynamics of our supporters in Beth Nahrin.

Since then, so far, the mentality of resistance and a decent life among our Syriac people has been active. The HBA also worked to expose the enemy’s policies based on division and policies of denial. The Party had a pivotal role and is still unifying the concept of national unity among our people.

On the 25th anniversary of the HBA’s founding, we remember and bow our heads in honor of our martyrs who sacrificed their pure souls to light the path of freedom. We extend our congratulations to the HBA head, the HBA administrators, and everyone who supports this approach, for their realization of the extent of responsibility placed on their shoulders.”
