Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Aphrem II opens artificial limb center and inspects construction of orphanage in Hmoth (Homs), Syria
HMOTH, Syria — Under the auspices of Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and all the East Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, the Necme Center for Artificial Limbs was opened. The center belongs to the Syriac Orthodox Diocese of Homs, Hama, Tartus, and its Environs.
The opening was attended by Bishop Mor. Timotheus Matta Khoury, Bishop of Homs, Hama, Tartus and its Environs, Patriarchal Secretary Mor. Youssef Bali, and a group of parish priests.
Patriarch Aphrem II, accompanied by a number of priests, toured the construction site of the Bishop Mor Sylvanos Boutros Necme House for Orphans in Zidel, Hmoth (Homs), where he was briefed on the construction plans, the stages of the project, and the sections of the building.
