NORTH AND EAST SYRIA: Syriac Union Party receives Future Movement of Syrian Kurdistan in Zalin (Qamishli)
BETH ZALIN (QAMISHLI), Syria – A delegation from the Kurdish Future Movement of Syrian Kurdistan, including head of its executive committee Akram Hussein and members Rohlat Othman and Azad Farman, visited the headquarters of the Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Zalin (Qamishli). They were received by SUP Co-Chair Sanharib Barsoum and member of the SUP executive committee Afram Ishak.
The two sides discussed issues and developments taking place at the national Syrian Arab Republic level and at the level of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria. Both sides stressed the importance of activating dialogues between all parties present in Syria and the DAA to reach consensus to reach a political solution for Syria which guarantees the rights of all components in the country.
The Syriac Union Party is an affiliate of the Bethnahrin National Council, an advocate for Syriac constitutional, political and cultural rights in Syria, and one of the co-founders of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria which it considers the democratic and political model best applicable for Syria.
