BAGHDEDE, Iraq — As a part of the rural development plan in which the Bethnahrain Patriotic Union (Huyodo d-Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA) in Iraq participates, the first schools being renovated in Baghdede district in Nineveh Plains were completed on Wednesday. The project was previously suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The two completed schools are located in the Kaleh and Akkad neighborhoods. Each school has a capacity of 12 classrooms, including sanitary facilities and gardens. The project was supported by local contracting companies.
HBA’s website added that work will be done in the future to establish more schools, in addition to repaving a number of main streets in the district. The work is scheduled to start soon.
