DARAMSUQ: Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Ephrem II receives Serbian Chargé d’affaires in Syria

DARAMSUQ, Syria – Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Mor Ignatius Ephrem II on Friday received the Chargé d’affaires Milan Vidovic of the Serbian embassy in Syria at the Patriarchal headquarters in Bab Touma, Daramsuq (Damascus), for a goodbye meeting at the end of Vidovic’s term in Syria.

During the friendly meeting, Mor Ephrem II wished the Chargé d’affaires success in his new mission, praising the supporting role the country of Serbia offers to the Syrian people.

The Syriac Orthodox Church and the autocephalous Serbian Orthodox Church maintain good diplomatic relations and clergy from the two churches visit each other regularly.
