In preparation for its ‘Windows Project’, Syriac Cross holds training course in North and East Syria
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — As part of its humanitarian work, the Syriac Cross Organization for Relief and Development held a training course for dialogue session management to facilitate dialogues that will soon be held in Zalin (Qamishli), Hasakah, Qabre Hewore (Al-Qahtaniyah), and Dayrik (Al-Malikiyah) in North and East Syria, according to Malek Hanna, Region Vice President for Syriac Cross.
In a statement to SyriacPress, Hanna said that, “We obtained approval from the Affairs Office to start the Windows project to enhance societal flexibility between the components of the region and create a society of respect, peace, and acceptance.”
“Over three days, we trained cadres on dialogue and communication skills, through video technology,” he added, indicating that eleven people from the organization’s staff from various offices attended the training course.
Regarding the dialogue seminars that will be held, Hanna said that the seminars will be concluded with a final dialogue forum on the outputs of the previous seminars.
“Despite being via video, the training was positive,” Hanna said. “The training aimed to teach the correct method of communication and interaction between facilitators and the proper management of dialogue.”
