IRAQ: Women’s Forum in Karamlesh holds heritage and handicraft exhibition

KARAMLESH, Iraq — On Sunday, the Women’s Forum held an exhibition of Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian handicrafts and heritage clothing in the village of Karamlesh, near Baghdede in Nineveh Plains.

The exhibition included a number of handicrafts and agricultural products made and produced by the villagers at subsidized prices, as well as a number of traditional tools and clothing from Karamlesh.

The exhibition was attended by a number of local media and people from Karamlesh and nearby towns and cities.

Karamlesh is located approximately 4km east of Baghdede. It is the location of the Shrine of St. Barbara, a holy site visited by Chaldeans–Syriacs–Assyrians from across Iraq.
