Administration of North and East Syria Official Siham Quryo: Social Contract Amendment Committee will soon finish its work

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The Co-Chair of the General Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria, Siham Quryo, confirmed that the Committee for the Amendment of the Charter of the Social Contract will finish its work soon. So far, the Committee has completed the first month of the two-month period dedicated to the amendment process.

“The DAA General Council has ratified several laws in 2021, including the Customs Law, the Tax Law, and the Media Act,” she added, pointing out that the Council will approve projects and laws, including the Violation Settlement Law.

Earlier, the DAA General Council had formed a 30-member committee to discuss the chapters of the Social Contract Charter to amend them to reflect the developments of life in the DAA regions at the social, economic, and political levels.
