Turkish bombing creates fires in four villages in Nohadra (Duhok) in Kurdistan Region of Iraq

NOHADRA, Iraq — Iraqi security sources reported that Turkish aircraft bombed areas in Nohadra (Duhok) Governorate in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) causing fires to erupt in four villages in the Barkari area of ​​Amadiya District.

The same sources confirmed that the fires continue to devour the forests and pastures of the villages of Kizi, Sarki, Beia, and Rdini for the third successive day as a result of the bombing.

As the fires raged, Turkish aircraft returned to bombed Kizi village two more times, hampering efforts to contain the existing fires and creating new ones.

Dozens of villages in Shigur (Shengal) District and the KRI have been subjected to almost daily bombardment by Turkey which results in civilian casualties and a mass displacement.
