IRAQ: Head of National Abrar Movement visits Beth Nahrin Patriotic Union in Ankawa

ANKAWA, Iraq — Head of the Beth Nahrin Patriotic Union (Huyodo Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA) Youssef Yacoub Matti and HBA Executive Office member Hazem Karroumi received the head of the National Abrar Movement, Ali al-Musawi, in Ankawa, Iraq, on Thursday.

During the meeting, the current political and economic situation in Iraq was discussed and visions for the future development of governance in Iraq shared.

The participants agreed that Iraqi institutions need strengthening so they can adequately secure the needs of citizens from all backgrounds and walks of life. They also discussed the situation of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people in the country.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides reinforced the importance of exchanging visits between themselves and increase cooperation to promote an inclusive political situation.
