Bishop Mor Gerges Goreya participates in International Conference on Religious Freedom and Peace in Armenia
YEREVAN — Commissioned by Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarchal Vicar of Belgium, France, and Luxembourg Bishop St. Gerges Goreya participated in the International Conference on Religious Freedom and Peace held in Armenia, which was called by Kirakin II, the Catholicos of all Armenians.
The conference discussed issues of preserving Armenian religious, historical, and cultural monuments in areas outside Armenian control.
The conference, called by His Holiness Kirakin II, was attended by Armenian President Armin Sarkisian and held in the Chair of The Echmiadzin in Armenia on 9 and 10 September.
