LEBANON: Universal Syriac Union Party and National Liberal Party preparing to launch a political front to combat Iranian influence

ZAHLE, Lebanon — A delegation from the National Liberal Party headed by party official Fares Chamoun visited the Syriac Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) Coordination Office in Zahle, Lebanon.

The delegation was received by the Secretary-General of the USUP Office Michel Mello and members of the Office. During the meeting they discussed a number of joint activities between the two parties and coordination between them in order to prepare for the launch of a political front comprising a number of Christian parties to confront the Iranian occupation of Lebanon.

Secretary-General Mello and a number of members of the Zahle Office also made a congratulatory visit to the Minister of Industry George Pushkian on his taking of office, wishing him success in his work and instituting reforms to the benefit of the Lebanese people.
