Syriac Progressive Youth Union launches project to purchase printers for universities in North and East Syria
HASAKAH, Syria — The Syriac Progressive Youth Union launched a new project to allocate printers to universities in North and East Syria to provide cheap printing to students.
The new project is funded by the Syriac Progressive Youth Union in Europe and members of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) diaspora. With the funds collected, a number of printers will be purchased, said official of the Syriac Progressive Youth Union Subhi Malke.
In a statement to SuroyoTV, Malke thanked the youth in Europe and everyone who contributed to financing the project.
“This step is positive for our people, who are suffering from harsh economic conditions,” he said. “The project will contribute to alleviating the suffering of students when they have to print lectures and papers.”
The project is due to be launched in the city of Hasakah in the coming days.
