Iraq: Continuous Turkish bombardment on areas in Nohadra (Dohuk)

NOHADRA (DOHUK), Iraq – The Turkish occupation army continues its violations and attacks on the areas of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI). The latest was the bombing of several areas and villages in Nohadra in Northern Iraq.

According to a security source, the Turkish bombing targeted the village of Shekaft and Barwari Žēr in Jumanki in the Amadiyah district. The bombing was close to oil wells and caused the burning of large agricultural areas. There is no information that was reported so far about any casualties or material losses due to the intensity of the bombing on the deserted area.

Earlier, Turkey had announced several military operations in Northern Iraq, under the pretext of pursuing fighters of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). One of those operations was “Operation Claw-Eagle 2” in the Gari region, in which the Turkish forces suffered heavy losses. Turkish president Erdogan had to end the operation as a result.
