Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II receives Greek Chargé d’Affairs in Daramsuq (Damascus)
DARAMSUQ — Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received the Chargé d’Affairs of the Greek Embassy in Syria, Nikolaos Protonotarios, at the Patriarchate headquarters in Bab Touma in Daramsuq (Damascus).
Protonotarios was also received by a number of Archbishops, including Archbishop of Hmoth (Homs), Hama, Tartous, and Environs Mor Timotheos Matta al-Khoury, Archbishop of the Gozarto (Al-Jazira) and the Euphrates Mor Maurice Amsih, as well as Patriarchal Secretary and Director of the Media Department Mor Yousef Bali.
During the meeting, several topics were discussed regarding the situation of Christians in Syria, the dire living and economic conditions that afflict the region, in addition to the impact of the coronavirus on all aspects of economic and social life.
