Iraqi Elections: Beth Nahrain Patriotic Union candidate Joseph Sliwa calls on all Chaldeans-Syriacs-Assyrians to vote on October 10

Iraq – With the date of the Iraqi parliamentary elections approaching, in which the Beth Nahrain Patriotic Union (List 141) will participate, Executive Bureau member and media official Ma’rib Imad spoke to our news desk about the pre-election work and the campaign undertaken by the Beth Nahrain Patriotic Union to achieve high turnout at polling stations and a successful election result for the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian party.

Ma’rib Imad said three commissions have been formed in the Nineveh Plain, Ankawa, and Nohadra (Dohuk), areas with a high Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian presence, to cover the elections and set up networks to promote the program of List 141 and to create awareness among Chaldeans-Syriacs-Assyrians and other citizens. The committees put up election posters in many Iraqi regions and had a major publicity and awareness raising role for List 141 and for party candidate Joseph Sliwa. Extensive use was made of social media and radio and TV channels.

Seminars and election evenings were organized by the committees in which party members and leader Joseph Sliwa explained the program and answered questions from voters present. Ma’rib Imad pointed out that List 141 is very popular, both in Iraq and in the Kurdish region of Iraq, and that a large number of citizens have expressed their strong belief in the party’s election manifesto and their intention to vote for List 141 candidates.

Last Tuesday, party leader Joseph Sliwa called on all Chaldeans-Syriacs-Assyrians to vote in the elections on October 10 in a live broadcast on Syriac satellite channel Suroyo TV.
