Belgian delegation visits Executive Council of North and East Syria administration
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — During a recent trip to North and East Syria, a Belgian delegation visited the headquarters of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA).
The delegation was headed by member of the Belgian Federal Parliament Georges J.F.M.G. Dallemagne, Director of the International Association of Victims of Terrorism Philippe Van Stetkisti, and member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Victims of Terrorism Rudi Malak.
The delegation was received by Co-Chair of the DAA Executive Council Berivan Khaled and Deputy Co-Chair Joseph Lahdo.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues related to current situation in North and East Syria, the worsening of the Syrian crisis, and the importance of the DAA’s participation in the political process and the Constitutional Committee discussions in Geneva.
The two parties highlighted the important role of Belgium and its contribution in resolving the Syrian crisis, supporting the DAA, and ways to improve the dire conditions afflicting the region.
