Syrian Democratic Forces deny Turkish accusation of involvement in Jarablus bombing

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — On Monday, the Media Office of the Syrian Democratic Forces denied Turkish allegations that it was involved in the bombing that took place in the city of Jarablus on the Turkey–Syria border.

The SDF in turn condemned the publishing of a video by the Turkish Ministry of Defense on Twitter on the anniversary of its occupation of Rish Ayno (Ras al-Ayn) and Tel Abyad praising its Syrian National Army (SNA) proxies which have been widely condemned by the U.N., humanitarian organizations, and the international community for its widespread criminality and systematic cruelty.

SDF spokesperson Farhad al-Shami stressed that the campaign of misinformation and distortion pursued by Turkey and its proxy forces will not discourage them in pursuing criminals, liberating the occupied areas, and enabling the return of displaced people.

Al-Shami called on social media networks, especially Twitter and Facebook, to put an end to Turkish disinformation operations and to properly label Turkish government owned or controlled media to expose them to the public opinion.

On Thursday, Turkey announced the death of one of its soldiers as a result of an attack in northern Syria.
