Assyrian ANB TV channel announces its permanent closure
Ten years after its establishment, the administration of the Assyrian National Broadcasting Satellite Channel, ANB TV, announced the closure of the channel, starting from today.
Presenter Khlapiel Bnyameen, who works as bureau chief for ANB TV in Iraq, announced the decision to close the channel. Bnyameen pointed out that the channel’s path was not easy, but rather full of difficulties, indicating that the decision to close a free satellite channel that transmits the voice of a people aspiring to freedom was never easy.
Bnyameen concluded by saying:
“It is the end of a station, but certainly not the end of the road, in the hope that the people of Iraq will rejoice in a new political and national project that will be launched from Baghdad, in the coming period. Finally, we wish the owner of the channel, Ninos Ternian, health and safety.”
