Iraq hands over 38 Islamic State children to Azerbaijan

BAGHDAD – On Wednesday, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over 38 Azerbaijani children from members of the terrorist organization of Islamic State.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed al-Sahaf declared in a press statement that “the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with Iraqi Ministry of Justice, and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Baghdad, handed over to Baku (38) children from ISIS gangs to be repatriated to their homeland.”

“The children were with their mothers, who were sentenced to prison by the concerned Iraqi courts, for belonging to Islamic State gangs,” he added.
