Iraqi National Security Apparatus arrests ISIS military advisor for Nineveh

NINEVEH, Iraq — In a statement, the Iraqi National Security Apparatus announced that detachments of the National Security Service arrested the Islamic State’s (ISIS) military advisor for “Nineveh State” after he entered Iraq from a neighboring country.

The arrested ISIS operative admitted his leadership of ISIS groups, saying he developed plans to confront the Iraqi military forces during the liberation operations. He also admitted to holding several administrative and financial positions in ISIS, including his appointment as ISIS Amir and financial officer of one of the sectors of “Al-Jazira State”.
