Syriac Union Party in Syria holds series of seminars in Gozarto Region
GOZARTO (JAZIRA) REGION, Syria – To shed light and answer resident’s questions on the latest political, military, and economic developments in the Democratic Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria, in particular, the Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Syria has held seminars in the SUP’s local offices in Hasakah, Zalin (Qamishli), Qabre Hewore (al-Qahtaniyah) and Dayrik (al-Malikiyah).
The seminars were led by the SUP co-chairs Sanharib Barsoum and Nazira Goreya, and SUP Executive Committee member Afram Ishak. Special focus was on the future of the villages of the Syriac (Aramean-Assyrian-Chaldean) people in the Khabur Region, an area under Turkish attack, in addition to the visits of DAA delegations to Moscow, which included Sanharib Barsoum, and Washington, which included Nazira Goreya.
The SUP officials touched on the preparations to enter the next phase which might include negotiations about full representation of the Syriac people with the Syrian regime under international auspices, and the elections in areas of the Democratic Autonomous Administration.
