Clinic for chronic diseases opens in Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria – The Health Authority in the Gozarto (Jazira) Region, in coordination with the Health Committee in the Hasakah region, opened a clinic for the treatment for chronic diseases in Al-Nashwa neighborhood in Hasakah city, with the aim of easing the financial burdens on patients and providing them with the necessary medical services.

According to those in charge of this clinic, it was opened to provide health care to patients who need long-term treatment, as well as patients who need continuous medical monitoring, medicines, and regular examinations.

Many patients in the region are currently suffering from a sharp increase in the cost of medicine and medical examinations at private clinics and hospitals.

Hasakah is a majority Arab city with substantial Syriac and Kurdish communities, and a smaller Armenian community.
