Administration of North and East Syria opened spinning and weaving factory in Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria — The Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria continues its efforts to develop the economy of the region.

According to a report published on the DAA website, a spinning and weaving factory was opened in Hasakah. The factory’s production capacity is reportedly 6 tons per day.

The report stated that the working day at the factory is divided into three shifts and it will provide job opportunities for more than 500 people.

The opening ceremony was attended by Co-Chair of the Executive Council of North and East Syria Berivan Khaled, Co-Chair of the Economic and Agriculture Authority Salman Barodo, and many other representatives of DAA institutions.

The areas comprising North and East Syria have historically, and deliberately, been underdeveloped by the central government of Syria.
