The Universal Syriac Union Party in Lebanon continues its Christmas events

ZAHLE, Lebanon The Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) continues its Christmas celebrations in Zahle. A central festival was organized for 1,500 children on the stadiums of Al-Matn area.

The USUP officials distributed gifts to 300 children at USUP headquarters in Sad El Bauchrieh. USUP Secretary of Internal Affairs and Coordinator of the Northern Matn Region Joseph Hajjar confirmed that the USUP is continuing its humanitarian help alongside its political struggle. The party stands by the Syriac (Aramean-Assyrian-Chaldean) people and their children in these tragic circumstances in Lebanon.

“We will not surrender to what the ruling class weaves against our people and country,” said Hajjar, “We will inevitably come out to light and freedom because culture of life triumphs over culture of death,” he elaborated, indicating that these activities are among USUP concern.

Hajjar thanked the institutions of the Beth Nahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB), and the Shai Fund and Brentwood organizations in Europe which support the Syriac people in many fields in Lebanon.
