LEBANON: Syriac Catholic Patriarch Younan visits Armenian Catholics Patriarch Minassian to congratulate him on Christmas
BEIRUT— On Sunday morning, Syriac Catholic Patriarch Mor Ignatius Youssef III Younan visited Patriarch of Cilicia for the Armenian Catholics Patriarch Raphaël Bedros XXI Minassian, at the headquarters of the Armenian Catholic Patriarchal See, in Beirut.
The meeting was attended by the Patriarchal Vicar of the Armenian Catholics Archbishop George Asadorian, and priest of Our Lady of Annunciation – Al-Jitaoui Father Rafi Ohanesian.
During the meeting, they exchanged Christmas congratulations, and wished that the new year would bring goodness, peace and security to the whole world, and that the Lord would bless the work of the Church.
They also touched on the general situation in Lebanon in particular and the Middle East in general, as well as the challenges that Christians face amid the circumstances faced in those countries. Patriarch Younan also spoke about his visit to the Diocese of Hasakah and Nusaybin in the Gozarto (Al-Jazirah) Region in Syria, and the importance of this visit in bringing hope in the souls of the faithful.
