Syriac youth hold a Christmas carnival in the town of Qabre Hewore
Syriac Progressive Youth Union held a Christmas carnival that toured the streets of the town of Qabre Hewore. The carnival included plays from the Scout Troop of the Syriac Cultural Society, folklore dances from the Yrtusa band, and gifts distributed to children.
The carnival included a procession of cars decorated with Christmas decorations that toured the streets of the town of Qabre Hewore, with Christmas songs in an atmosphere of joy and happiness and the participation of all the townspeople from all ethnic and religious backgrounds who came to share in the joy of the Christmas holiday.
The Scouts Troop of the Syriac Cultural Society also performed some Christmas music, and the Yrtusa band presented several traditional Syriac folklore dances. This was followed by the distribution of gifts to children by Santa Claus.
Dabkeh sessions were held by the audience to the beat of the beautiful Syriac songs, as an expression of their joy and happiness on the occasion of the birth of Christ in the manger.
The Syriac Progressive Youth Union will also hold a Christmas carnival on Wednesday evening in the city of Derik and on Thursday evening in the city of Qamishli.
