Syriac institutions hold Christmas celebrations in Hasaka and Qamishli

Qom Shle – Several Syriac institutions held events and celebrations for children on the occasion of Christmas in Al-Hasakah and Qamishli, which included songs, dances and entertaining paragraphs for the little ones, with gifts distributed by Santa Claus to the children.

The Abdul Masih Qarabashi House for Culture and Art in Al-Hasakah, the Olaf Tau Foundation in Qamishli, and the Zalka Kindergarten Central and Al-Bashiriya branches held Christmas celebrations for children.

The festivities included Syriac songs, dances and humorous paragraphs for children by masquerade cartoon characters, and gifts were distributed to the little ones by the character of Santa Claus, or “Papa Noel” as he is known in Syria.

The children also danced to Christmas songs in an atmosphere full of happiness and joy.
