Federation of Syriac Associations in Turkey and the Dutch Embassy in Turkey launch a human rights project for our Syriac people
AMSTERDAM / ANKARA — The Federation of Syriac Associations (Süryani Dernekler Federasyonu, SÜDEF) in cooperation with the Dutch Embassy in Turkey launched an initiative to report human rights violations against the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people.
The initiative aims to document all marginalizing actions and human rights violations targeting the Syriac (Aramean–-Assyrian–-Chaldean) people so that human rights activists and defenders can easily track the issue and advocate for change.
The initiative will continue for a year and the mechanism for detecting the violations against Syriac people will be clarified.
The initiative will bear the name Syriac Rights Program and anyone can access information about it program at www.suryanihaklari.org.
