Residents of Tabqa reject Syrian regime settlements as regime makes arrests in in Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor)

TABQA and DAYRO ZCURO, Syria — Locals in Tabqa and Raqqa continue to reject the Syrian regime’s calls for settlements similar to those made in Druco (Daraa) and Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor).

The Al-Bukhamis Clan in Tabqa issued a statement rejecting the Syrian regime’s attempts to create strife between the region’s various components and stressed solidarity with the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria.

In a statement, the clan declared that there are attempts to undermine inter-communal relations in North and East Syria by creating strife and provoking disputes between the residents and the DAA.

“The Al-Bukhamis Clan refuses to be a tool in the hands of others and it thanks the DAA for maintaining security and stability in the region,” read the statement.

In related news, residents of Tabqa took to the streets, refusing to participate in the Syrian regime’s “negotiated settlements”. They carried banners reading “Reconciliation is a Betrayal of Martyrs Blood”.

Meanwhile, in Dayro Zcuro, the security services of the Syrian regime arrested more than 40 people who were a part of the latest settlements with the aim of forcing them into mandatory military service.

In Druco, individuals involved in previous settlements have been subjected to arrest.
