AL-HOL, Syria —The Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria released another group of Syrian families from Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor) from Al-Hol Refugee Camp in coordination with the Internal Security Forces (ISF) and the Dayro Zcuro Civil Council.

The latest group included 217 people from 53 families from the eastern and northern countryside of Dayro Zcuro.

The process took place after the security and administrative authorities in the camp confirmed the families’ documents and communicated with the Dayro Zcuro Civil Council.

Since the DAA began releasing families from Al-Hol Camp, 49 groups of families have been released to return home. This was the first group released in 2022.

In related news, official of the DAA Camps in North and East Syria Sheikhmus Ahmed told Agence France-Presse (AFP) that there is security chaos and a serious threat in the camp, where cells of the Islamic State (ISIS) are still present.

“The threat to humanitarian organizations and medical points is a dangerous precedent,” said Ahmed. “We will continue to provide humanitarian services, but not as required.”

In recent weeks, medical personnel have been attacked by ISIS members in the camp

French psychiatrist Boris Cirulnik called on President Emmanuel Macron to return 200 French children from ISIS families with their mothers from Syria, considering that their stay there poses a threat to France’s security.

“French president feared that these children would become jihadists,” Cyrulnik stated.
