Delegation of Beth Nahrain Organization for Women visits with educated Iraqi women to encourage women to pursue higher learning
BAGHDEDE, Iraq — A delegation from the Beth Nahrain Organization for Women (BNOW) in Iraq visited several highly educated women in Baghdede in Nineveh Plains, Iraq..
The delegation, which included BNOW head Hanan Matti Touma and several BNOW members, visited Dr. Laura Bassem al-Saour from Hamdania. Al-Saour has a PhD in International Monetary and Financial Policy.
The BNOW delegation also visited Dr. Dunia Boutros Touma al-Bakzo from Bartella. Al-Bakzo has a PhD in Physical Chemistry.
The delegation also visited the Dar al-Touba home for the elderly and presented a bouquet of roses and offered New Year congratulations.
These visits were of great importance in encouraging women to continue their education, reach the highest positions and obtain higher degrees in order to be supporters and participants in building the country.
