Syrian Democratic Council demands an end to Turkey’s violations in Syria; Tel Abyad clans confirm their support for the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA ـــــ The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) issued a statement, condemning the terrorist attack of the Islamic State (ISIS) on Hasakah prison, praising the heroic role of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Internal Security Forces (ISF) in confronting terrorism. The statement called on all Syrians to unite against ISIS.

The SDC also condemned the Turkish attacks on civilians of North and East Syria, and called on the international community and United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to assume their responsibilities towards the ceasefire agreements and put an end to Turkey’s aggressive policies.

Clans’ sheikhs in Tel Abyad and its countryside also issued a statement regarding the ongoing Turkish violations against the regions of northern Syria. The statement was read by Sheikh of Albu Assaf clan Hamad al-Qarajah, in front of Tel Abyad Council headquarters in Ayn Issa, north of Raqqa.

The sheikhs affirmed their support for the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) against Turkey, noting that the Turkish violations sow discord and strike stability in North and East Syria.

The statement pointed out the importance of cooperation with the DAA to liberate the Turkish occupied Syrian territory.

In related news, the Turkish violations continue in northern Syria. On Thursday, a Turkish drone targeted a car near the village of Kharza on Darbasiyah-Amouda road, injuring four people.

Turkish-backed factions targeted, with automatic weapons, the village of Jatli in the countryside of Darbasiyah. While villages of Al-Dardara, Tal Shnan and Qabr al-Qarajneh, northeast of Tal Tamr, were subjected to Turkish artillery shelling.
