BEIRUT – During a meeting between the UK Special Representative to Syria Jonathan Hargreaves and the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Syria Imran Riza in Beirut in Lebanon, the difficult conditions of the population in North and East Syria were reviewed. “Important to agree measures that address worsening humanitarian access and protection risks in camps and detention facilities,” said Hargreaves via Twitter.
The risks of protection in detention centers and camps there were also touched on. Hargreaves indicated that they discussed the humanitarian response and demanding the international community to provide more aid to civilians in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, so that they can withstand their current living conditions.
