IRAQ: Syriac athlete Dina Fouad from Al-Qosh won first place in Women’s Physical Strength Championship in Erbil

ALQOSH, NINEVEH PLAINS, Iraq– Syriac (Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian) athlete Dina Fouad, from Alqosh, Nineveh Plains, has won the first place in Women’s Physical Strength Championship, held in Erbil on 4th February. It is the fifth time she wins the championship.

54 players from different regions of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) participated in this Championship, which was organized by the Olympic Committee Representation in Erbil. The Championship included three deadlift attempts of 130, 140 and 150 kg, and Captain Fouad managed to lift all of them.

Dina Fouad holds International Trainer and Best Deadlift Diplomas.

She represented the Nohadra (Duhok) Governorate, and participated in several Physical Strength Championships in Nohadra (Duhok) and Erbil, achieving first place.
