Delegation from Antonine Technical Institute visits Syriac Union Party in Lebanon
Within the framework of religious and political relations in Lebanon, the head of the Universal Syriac Union Party, Ibrahim Mrad, received at the party’s general headquarters in the Sad El Baouchriye area, the director of the Antonine Technical Institute in Dekwaneh, Father Charbel Abboud, at the head of a delegation of the institute’s professors.
They were received by the deputy head of the party, Laila Latte, the USUP’s secretary of internal affairs, Joseph Hajjar, the newly appointed secretary of legal affairs, lawyer Wadih Nasr, and members of the party’s central council.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed Christian and national affairs and the need to adhere to heritage and the values of giving and love.
Father Abboud stressed that Lebanon is the homeland of the message, and we must reflect its cultural and intellectual image in the fog of these difficult days.
In turn, Mrad welcomed the visiting delegation, praising the role of the Institute and Father Abboud for his determination to play a pioneering role in Lebanon by spreading art, especially reviving Christian heritage through icon painting and creating job opportunities to establish young people in their land.
Finally, Father Abboud and the accompanying delegation presented the icon of St. Anthony the Great and an ornate plaque as a token of love and appreciation to the party leader.
