Iraqi intelligence arrests four ISIS operatives in Nineveh and Anbar

NINEVEH PLAINS and ANBAR, Iraq — The Iraqi Security Media Cell issued a statement in which it said that, “Separate operations resulted in the arrest of four [Islamic State] operatives, three of them in Anbar. The other one was arrested in Nineveh Plains, after he hid among the displaced people in Hassan Sham Camp and escaped from the camp.” 

“One of the ISIS operatives is wanted by the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of terrorism,” read the statement. “They were handed over to the concerned authorities for investigation.

The statement indicated that the forces managed to reach an ISIS tunnel in Nineveh, in addition to confiscating 310 single rounds, 31 explosive devices, 17 detonation rods, 13 landmines, 11 projectiles, 10 different bombs, and 10 different missiles in several areas of Anbar, Nineveh, and western Nineveh.
