Syriac Progressive Youth Union extends Akitu congratulations to Syriac people
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — In a conversation with the SyriacPress newsdesk, officials and administrators of the Syriac Progressive Youth Union’s Hasakah Branch congratulated the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people on Akitu, the Babylonian Syriac–Assyrian New Year.
Co-Chair of the Union Subhi Malki stated that Akitu represents a national symbol for the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people.
He congratulated them, the Syriac Union Party (SUP), and the Assyrian Democratic Organization (ADO) on the holiday and hoped that this new year would bring national unity for the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people.
Administrator of the Young Woman Foundation in Hasakah Silva Abdel Ahad also congratulated the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people on Akitu, wishing a good new year for all peoples.
Official of Youth and Sports Committee in Hasakah Elias Abdel Ahad congratulated the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people on Akitu, pointing to the important role of Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) youth in building a healthy and cooperative society in North and East Syria.
He wished a year of joy and peace for all peoples in the region.
