LEBANON: Universal Syriac Union Party receives delegation of Guardians of the Cedars Party
BEIRUT— The Secretary-General of the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP), lawyer Michel Mallo, received the Secretary-General of the Guardians of the Cedars Party, lawyer Maroun Amel, and his delegation.
The two parties discussed the general political situation in the region. The many risks threatening Lebanon and the Iranian attempts to take full control of Lebanon through its Hezbollah militia, were also touched on. The two sides emphasized the need to continue comprehensive resistance by all legitimate methods against Iranian agents.
They also discussed developing closer ties – both parties are members of the Sovereigntist Front for Lebanon – and their shared ideals and struggle. They stressed that they will jointly confront any party that wants to take Lebanon out of neutrality, pluralism and peace.
