Syriac Maronite Patriarch al-Raï receives Lebanese Minister of Environment and Ambassador of Lebanon to Argentina
BETH KERKE, Lebanon — On Thursday, Syriac Maronite Patriarch Mor Beshara Boutros al-Raï met with Lebanese Minister of Environment Nasser Yassin at the patriarchal headquarters in Beth Kerke (Bkerke), Lebanon.
The latest activities of the Ministry and the plans it is developing were reviewed. They also stressed the need to spread environmental awareness, especially with regard to environment protection and the importance of domestic waste sorting. Supporting municipalities to help solve the solid waste issue and encouraging individual initiatives in this regard were also touched on.
The Patriarch also received Lebanon’s Ambassador to Argentina Johnny Ibrahim. They discussed the developments in the region and the multiple crises in Lebanon.
