President of the Syriac Union Party in Lebanon Ibrahim Murad expresses support for candidate Nadim Gemayel, considers him “symbol of the resistance”
BEIRUT – Ibrahim Murad, head of the Universal Syriac Union Party, received the candidate of the Lebanese Phalange Party for the Maronite seat, Nadim Gemayel, in the presence of members of the Political Bureau and the Central Council of the party.
As the Lebanese elections approach, the Universal Syriac Union Party supports the candidates of the Lebanese Phalange Party. Murad received Gemayel, a resigned MP and the candidate of the Lebanese Phalange Party for the Maronite seat in Beirut First District, at the party’s headquarters in Sad El-Baouchriyeh. During the meeting, they discussed current Lebanese affairs, especially the parliamentary elections, the necessity of holding them, and urging voters to participate.
Murad declared that Nadim Gemayel is a symbol of resistance, sovereignty and anti-corruption, a continuation of the approach of the martyred leader Bashir Gemayel, and his success in the upcoming parliamentary elections will contribute to the struggle to lift Lebanon out of the jaws of the Iranian occupation represented by the Hezbollah militia. He stated that the position announced by his party is to support all the candidates of the Lebanese Forces party in all regions, forming the largest militant parliamentary bloc of which the Universal Syriac Union Party is part.
For his part, Gemayel saluted the Syriac Union Party and Murad, saying that they have a close relationship, a common struggle and resistance on behalf of Lebanon.
