Tal Kaif educators deliver training lesson in Christian education
TAL KAIF, Iraq — Within the scope of the annual plan set by the General Directorate of Syriac Study in Iraq, the Syriac Study Division in Tal Kaif organized a training lesson in Christian religious education with the aim of developing the skills of the teaching staff and training them to communicate information to students in a clearer and more efficient manner. The lesson was arranged in cooperation and coordination with the Syriac Studies department of the Nineveh Education Directorate. The training took place in a primary school for girls.
The lesson was attended by the Director of the Syriac Studies Department in the General Directorate of Education in Nineveh Governorate Samir Youkhna, the Syriac Language Supervisor Ivan Shlimon, and the staff of the Syriac Division in the Tal Kaif education department.
The lesson was given by Randa Rafid, a teacher of Christian religious education at Telskof Elementary School for Girls, the assistant bishop of the Chaldean Diocese of Alqosh Bishop Mar Paul Thabet, and Archbishop Faris Yaqo from Markorkis Church in Telskof.
Although the primary focus of the lesson was to further develop the capacity of teachers to deliver Christian religious education, teaching the Syriac language is planned for the future.
