Chaldean fashion designer returns from US to open fashion house in Iraq
BAGHDEDE, Iraq — Syriac–Chaldean Rana Samaan, who was born in Nineveh Plains and hails from Baghdede, Iraq, has returned from the U.S. to open a fashion house in her homeland.
She has achieved great success in fashion, despite obstacles and challenges.
Samaan discovered her passion at the age of 15 when she designed her first dress. She said she learned a lot about sewing from her mother.
Samaan participated in fashion exhibitions in Iraq and abroad, particularly in the U.S., where she received support from her husband.
She has opened her own fashion house in Sulaymaniyah and has garnered much popularity.
